On May 25th 2011, Walnut Way was recognized for design excellence. Projects are selected for the Mayor's Design Award for  contributing to the character of their surroundins, adding value to their neighborhood, and enhancing the urban fabric. Sharon and Larry Adams accepted the award on behalf of Walnut Way on Wednesday evening at the UW-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning.

The restoration of this Walnut Way property was a team effort. Together we thank all who have contributed to the beauty and resilience of this historic home.
