Join us for a very special evening on Friday, June 2nd 6:00-9:00 pm on the Rooftop Sculpture Garden of MSOE’s Grohmann Museum, 1000 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
The event – a PURPOSEFUL Fundraiser – is a fundraiser and celebration of the soon-to-be launched Phase II of The Innovations and Wellness Commons, 1601-1617 W. North Ave. The event’s goal is to close the gap on the remaining funds needed to reach our total goal of $4.2 million.
This very special evening includes opening remarks by MSOE’s new president Dr. John Walz. He will be followed by Mary Pattillo, PhD of Northwestern University and author of two award-winning books on the Black middle class. Dr. Pattillo will speak about the historical and contemporary strengths of Black neighborhoods like Milwaukee’s Lindsay Heights and collective efforts to celebrate and build on those strengths.
Tickets are $85 and include complimentary appetizers, desserts, and cocktails. A silent auction of Lindsay Heights-area products and services will be offered, as well as a collective giving and naming opportunity for the Phase II Rooftop Garden.
Event attendees include prominent real estate developers, academic and foundation executives, community partners, neighborhood residents and business owners, and friends and supporters like you. Among our guests will be DeAndre Levy of the Detroit Lions, a graduate of MPS’s Vincent High School and major donor to The Commons.
