Since 2014, Terron Edwards has supported leadership initiatives for men at Walnut Way as the Community Engagement Coordinator. He will continue to pursue his life mission to assist families, creating pathways for youth, and fostering the next generation of leadership around fatherhood and manhood, by taking a position in the Community Mentorship Program at Running Rebels. Terron’s last day at Walnut Way is Friday, March 1st.
We are grateful for the legacy that Terron will leave behind at Walnut Way. Through his leadership, he successfully created three intergenerational spaces of growth and support for men in Lindsay Heights. He lead partners and neighbors to community events and initiatives. He created a toolkit for Men’s Wellness Programming that can be replicated and shared across the country. He helped men and neighbors advance leadership initiatives of their own including: Boys 2 Leaders Program, a STEM program, and a Re-Entry Program for soon to be released incarcerated men.
In his departure, Terron says “I appreciate my time here and the opportunity Walnut Way gave me to touch so many lives.”
We wish Terron success and know he will continue to make an impact wherever he goes. The point of contact moving forward for Terron’s work is Antonio Butts and Tyler Weber. They can be reached at Antonio@walnutway.org or Tyler@walnutway.org.
