This spring, ArtWorks for Milwaukee will offer a Spring Arts Internship at Walnut Way. Teenagers from Lindsay Heights will create a small mural to beautify Sunshine Park, on 14th and North Avenue. The group of eight to 12 participants will learn about the process of creating a mural through lessons on content development and painting. The lead artist and program participants will gather community input by canvassing the neighborhood and engaging with residents. Apply Now.
WHEN: End of March – June 2019
WHO: Open to 14-18 year old high school students that preferably live, attend school or activities in Lindsay Heights. ArtWorks workshops do not require prior art experience or skill.

Work with Lead Artist, Luther Hall
Luther Hall is a Milwaukee-native MC, producer, and creator of the independent comic, Angry Kat. He graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from Hampton University in 1997. He has spent more than two decades as an artist in Milwaukee. During that time, he has been a positive force within the community and a solid contributor to the city’s fine arts scene .
Participants will have the opportunity to continue the program as a paid intern in Summer 2019.
