The 2019 growing season has begun. Thanks to our hoop-house and hydroponic systems, we can grow many crops year round. This week we will sell turnips, kale, and lettuce at the market. Visit us at Fondy Park and Market each Saturday where Walnut Way’s Growing Youth Leadership interns will sell produce.

Growing Youth Leadership is Walnut Way’s signature summer teen internship program that engages teens in urban agriculture, education, leadership development, and job training. Teens grow a wide range of chemical-free produce in the Walnut Way gardens and sell their harvest at Fondy Farmers Market.

There is much to do at Fondy Market and Park this year thanks to revitalization efforts. You can tour the new educational Eco Tour signs at the Park that were installed by Blue Skies Landscaping team. Angela Smith, Healing Circle Facilitator and owner of The Zen Dragonfly is teaching yoga all summer long on Saturdays at Fondy Park. There is also live music on select Fridays at the park. Fondy Farmers Market and Park is located at 2200 W. Fond du Lac Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53206. Walnut Way vends Saturdays from 8:00am to 2:00pm.
