Get Rooted with Guided Meditation and Breathwork: A Healing Circle Special Event
Walnut Way’s Healing Circle is a drop-in program for women of color to practice self-care in a supportive environment. Women from the circle lead and plan sessions to support their personal goals and wellness journeys. On Friday, November 8th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Walnut Way will welcome special guest, Naya Jones, PhD, a healing arts practitioner and researcher.
Following sharing food together, Naya will lead participants through breathwork, guided meditation, and more. Circle participants are invited to “get rooted” in their personal journeys with holistic health, healing, and Walnut Way.
This Healing Circle includes an informal focus group that will support the ongoing wellness work of Walnut Way. The session will be audio-recorded and is completely voluntary. This is part of a research project with Walnut Way carried out by Naya Jones, PhD a postdoctoral fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin. For more project details or for questions, feel free to contact Naya Jones at njones@mcw.edu.
Additional Healing Circles are scheduled until the rest of the year on select Fridays, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Walnut Way on October 25, November 8, November 22, December 13, and December 27.
