ABOUT WOUNDED SOLDIERS
Wounded Soldiers mission is to provide the community with resources that helps trauma survivors use an integrated Mind, Heart & Body approach to growing personal, spiritual and mental wellness while healing.
Traumatic events come in many forms, from loss of a loved one, to sexual assault, to loss of employment. Experiencing a traumatic event can carry lasting consequences. Trauma survivors often feel alone and withdrawn. Wounded Soldiers support group provides a safe space where individuals can be open about what they are going through and get guidance on how to overcome barriers. Wounded Soldiers offers individuals a way to connect with others with similar challenges, get information on resources for recovery, and the reassurance that this difficult process is normal. Which, eases the emotional stress.
Through volunteered services, Wounded Soldiers support group offers trauma survivors an opportunity to connect with other survivors and receive and give support. Wounded Soldiers is suited for easing trauma survivors’ emotional stress, including feelings of isolation, loneliness, depression, grief, helplessness and hopelessness for women 21 years of age and older.
