Dear Walnut Way Friends,
Officials from the City of Milwaukee have shared that the Coronavirus is hitting the Northside community of Milwaukee especially hard. According to Milwaukee Health Commissioner Dr. Jeanette Kowalik, over half of the cases are in Milwaukee’s African American communities. It’s too early to determine why, but it’s important that we rally together to get the word out to the community to continue to stay safe by staying at home and practice social distancing.
We continue to stay in contact with community leaders to address this issue and respond in ways that are possible and impactful. We will work to spread the message to the community to stay at home and be safe. We ask that you also spread the word to help keep our communities safe. Here are links to some of the latest news covering this topic:
We ask that at this time, you do not visit the Walnut Way Center. If you have urgent needs, please call us at 414-264-2326 or email info@walnutway.org. Wishing you all good health.
