On Saturday, September 10, 2022, the Harvest Day festival came alive with the sights and sounds of the diverse cultures that make up Lindsay Heights and Milwaukee, demonstrating this year’s theme, Rekindle, Rejoin, Restore. Together, we celebrated the abundance that working collectively creates!
The entertainment included music and performers hosted by Joseph Wilke, Cigarette Break, Sondra B Soulful, DJ GID Money & Milwaukee Flyers, and Watch Me Shine Youth Performers.
The event was held at Fondy Park adjacent to the Fondy Farmers Market. The park holds a strong example of our mission of environmental stewardship, civic engagement, and economic prosperity in action. Our Blue Skies Landscaping helped to install the park which mitigates stormwater from our sewer system helping to protect Lake Michigan! The project, coordinated by the City of Milwaukee’s Home GR/OWN Initiative, provided employment opportunities for our team to take part in community revitalization.
Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible: United Way, Wisconsin Voices, Institute for Sustainable Communities, We Energies Foundation, Microsoft, and Roberts & Ryan Insurance.
It has been an engaging year at Walnut Way and we are grateful that you closed the harvest season with us! Please enjoy a look back at Harvest Day 2022 photos by Jessica Haven.
