4th Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat in Lindsay Heights Neighborhood
Milwaukee, WI (October 15th, 2022) — It is time for the 4th annual Halloween Trunk-Or-Treat in Lindsay Heights, on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the 2300 block of North 17th Street. There will be city and community organizations participating, including Central Lindsay Heights Residents Collective, Fathers Making Progress and Walnut Way. The families will enjoy trick-or-treating, games, light snacks, resources and lots of positive energy, laughter and unity within our community.
The Halloween Trunk or Treat is located in the heart of the 53206-zip code, where neighbors who love and cherish our community are working to improve how the neighborhood is perceived. The Trunk-or-Treat allows homeowners, entrepreneurs, activists, community leaders, and social agencies to work together to create a lasting memory for the children in our neighborhood.
When the event was first held in 2018, children and parents were ecstatic to be able to enjoy the holiday in their own community, then again in 2019. However, due to the COVID pandemic, the 2020 event was canceled. In 2021, it was the youth and young adults in the community that was the driving force behind reactivating the Trunk-or-Treat by asking to serve on the planning committee comprising all volunteers from the neighborhood. Taking ownership of their community is exactly what we are striving for; in addition to the Halloween event, the youth are planning for two other events throughout the next year.
The annual Trunk-or-Treat has proven to be a time of community and giving, with many of the local businesses generously donating to ensure every child has a basket full of joy!
This year’s Trunk-or-Treat is expected to be the biggest yet! Your participation is welcome, please use the link below to join the fun!

About Walnut Way
Walnut Way Conservation Corp. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit neighborhood organization founded in 2000 by Lindsay Heights residents to reclaim and redevelop the economic health and vitality of their community. In the years since, Walnut Way and its partners have rolled out a series of successful and innovative programs and initiatives addressing the neighborhood’s most pressing economic, environmental, and health issues. The Walnut Way Center is located in a carefully renovated, formally infamous drug house. Understanding the importance of valuing place, residents restored this 1910 house, slated for demolition, into an active center where youth, families, elders, homeowners and renters participate in community development.
