This spring, ArtWorks for Milwaukee will offer a Spring Arts Internship at Walnut Way. Teenagers from Lindsay Heights will create a small mural to beautify Sunshine Park, on 14th and North Avenue. The group of eight to 12 participants will learn about the process of creating a mural through lessons on content development and painting.
Meet the Neighbor Behind this Week’s Poetry Neighbor Night: Teikani Richardson
When Teikani Richardson was six years old, his family moved into a house on N. 17th St. across the street from the Walnut Way Center in Milwaukee’s Lindsay Heights neighborhood. There his family – mom, dad, and 11 kids – took part in community arts and recreation programs offered by Walnut Way and other organizations.
Harvest Day Neighborhood Stakeholders Meeting
Please join us for the first of a short series of planning meetings. This is an opportunity for neighbors to have a seat at the table for the largest annual event in Lindsay Heights, Harvest Day! We hope to make this years Harvest Day the best Harvest Day in the history of our neighborhood; we can only do that with support of our greatest stakeholders…our neighbors!
