Following sharing food together, Naya will lead participants through breathwork, guided meditation, and more. Neighbor Night offers fresh cooking and nutrition classes
This year we are reinvigorating our Neighbor Nights with a series of classes focused on healthy eating and nutrition by Chef Anomalous Campbell and Nutritionist, Bridgett Wilder. Each instructor will teach six classes to help participants on their wellness journey. All classes are free thanks to support from American Cancer Society. Classes begin March 12th!
The Healspace Caters to Millenial Women of Color
Walnut Way is partnering with Jay Dean, Founder of Afrowellness, to bring an all new healing circle space for Millenial women of color. The new program is called, The HealSpace, and is a safe community that focuses on the overall well-being of millennial women of color through mindfulness and connection. The idea was birthed by the need to offer quality wellness resources to women of color within the Milwaukee and surrounding area.
Healing Circle: Fall Dates Announced
The peer led Healing Circle has gathered to plan their fall workshops in self-care for women of color. Women of color are invited to join the Healing Circle of select dates this season! Lindsay Heights residents are encouraged to join the circle.

Growing Healthy Soil Workshop Dates
In 2018 we are continuing our partnership with Sixteenth Street Community Health Center to improve soil quality and reduce lead hazards in urban gardening. Our Growing Health Soil for Healthy Communities Workshops (GHS) offer residents on the North and South side of Milwaukee to learn ways to reduce hazards from contaminants, test soil, and learn about special topics in gardening. Workshops take place at Walnut Way and other locations throughout the City of Milwaukee. We will kick-off our GHS Workshops at Walnut Way on Saturday, May 12th from 10:00AM – 12:00PM
Boys 2 Leaders Announces 2018 Schedule
If you know of a young man that lives, works, plays, or attends activities in Lindsay Height, let him know about the strongest brotherhood in Lindsay Heights, The Boys 2 Leaders Project. The 2018 season will kick off on Tuesday, April 3rd from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Walnut Way Center.
