Lindsay Heights Senior Home Repair
"Restoring Homes, Revitalizing Lives: Your Pathway to a Safer Home in Lindsay Heights"
Service Description
Lindsay Heights homeowners can receive up to $1,000 as reimbursement for minor “paint‑up, fix‑up” work, including electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, ceiling patching and painting, to improve basic health, safety, and appearance—not full renovations. Seniors will be given priority for this program. How to Get Started Fill out the online form and choose a time for an on‑site visit or follow‑up phone call so Walnut Way can review your needs. Make sure the name on the application matches the homeowner listed on the property tax records and that the home is your primary residence in Lindsay Heights. Upload a few clear photos of the problem area (for example, damaged ceiling or peeling paint) and any recent estimates or documents you already have. Who Can Do the Work Approved work can be completed by Walnut Way crews, by a licensed general contractor, or by the homeowner using approved materials. If the homeowner or their contractor does the work, the program operates as a reimbursement: you pay up front and Walnut Way reimburses eligible costs after review of receipts and proof of payment. In some cases, Walnut Way may complete the work directly instead of reimbursement, depending on staffing, funding, and project fit. Role of the Environmental Justice Housing Coordinator The Environmental Justice Housing Coordinator will be your main contact to review your application, schedule visits or calls, and help you understand what repairs are eligible. The Coordinator will work with each senior and household to plan the project, confirm documentation, and move repairs forward from intake through reimbursement or completion.

Cancellation Policy
Appointment and Cancellation Policy Residents are asked to cancel or reschedule their home repair visit or follow‑up call at least 24 hours in advance so that the time can be offered to another household. After two missed visits or late cancellations without notice, future appointments may be delayed or placed on a waiting list so that other seniors can be served first. Walnut Way may occasionally need to reschedule visits because of weather, staffing, or emergencies; in those cases, staff will contact the household as soon as possible to arrange a new time.
