Dextra's career spans significant roles in telecommunications and local government. For 22 years, he served at AT&T Wisconsin, culminating in his position as Director of External Affairs from 2010 to 2023. In this role, he skillfully navigated local, county, and state legislative policy issues, while building strategic partnerships with community stakeholders. Prior to his tenure at AT&T, Dextra contributed his expertise to the City of Milwaukee. He served as a Legislative Fiscal Manager in the Department of Intergovernmental Relations and as a Legislative Assistant for the 7th Aldermanic District of the Milwaukee Common Council. These positions honed his skills in local government operations and community advocacy.
