Dextra Hadnot
Assistant Executive Director
Dextra Hadnot is Walnut Way’s Assistant Executive Director, bringing over three decades of management experience in both the public and private sectors. He is deeply committed to community engagement and legislative advocacy. His distinguished career includes 22 years at AT&T Wisconsin, culminating in the role of Director of External Affairs (2010–2023), where he managed local, county, and state policy issues and built strategic partnerships. Dextra also served the City of Milwaukee as Legislative Fiscal Manager and Legislative Assistant, further developing his expertise in government operations and community advocacy.
Dextra holds a BA in Journalism Communication from Marquette University and an Associate of Arts from Milwaukee Area Technical College, where he is currently pursuing an Associate in Supervisory Management. His professional development includes certifications in Nonprofit Management, Supervisory Management, and Supplier Diversity, and he has held lobby licenses at the city, county, and state levels.
Active in the community, Dextra serves on the boards of Safe and Sound, Midwest Education and Christian Outreach, and HeartLove Place, and is affiliated with the Greater Milwaukee Committee and Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce. His extensive experience in public affairs and strategic partnerships uniquely positions him to advance Walnut Way’s mission of sustainable neighborhood revitalization.
